August 28 Auditions

Membership in the Young Artists Philharmonic provides the serious young music student with a challenging and rewarding orchestral experience. It is important to remember that our auditions should not be thought of as a daunting or stressful occasion. We like to think of it as an evaluation rather than an audition, and look forward to meeting all interested students in a welcoming setting.

Applicants should prepare:

• One scale of the applicant’s choice, in as many octaves as possible
• One solo piece of the applicant’s choice

Applicants should also expect to do some sight-reading during the audition. Any questions regarding the auditions should be directed to Executive Director Greg Robbins at greg@youngartistsphil.org.
